Form from Earth
Using the ancient technique of sand casting, our artisans create individual moulds from compressed sand. Molten brass is poured at high temperatures to capture the subtle, organic textures of the mould. Because each sand mould is destroyed to reveal the metal within, no two pieces are ever identical. Each carries the unique fingerprint of the sand and the maker. This process ensures a density and weight that cannot be replicated by modern mass production.
The Living Metal
We choose solid brass for its honesty and permanence. Our living finish is a commitment to the natural life cycle of the metal. Without a synthetic coating, your Reeth object will darken and mature as it reflects your environment and the passage of time. This natural oxidation is a testament to the purity of the material and a physical record of the life lived around it.
