Care & Longevity

Kansa should always be washed by hand using mild soap and a soft sponge. Avoid dishwashers, steel scrubbers, and abrasive cleaners, as they may affect the finish over time.
Dry Immediately:
Always wipe kansa dry immediately after washing using a soft cotton cloth. Air-drying can leave mineral marks and uneven patina patterns.
Handle With Care:
Kansa is a traditional alloy of copper and tin and is naturally denser than brass. Avoid dropping pieces on hard surfaces or exposing them to sudden impact.
Material Truth:
With regular use, kansa develops a richer surface character over time. To restore its original lustre, clean gently with tamarind paste, Pitambari, or lemon and salt.
